Bob Brough

Robert “Bob” Brough, lovingly known to many simply as “Snuffy or Bobby” passed away peacefully at home on May 7th at the age of 80.

Born and raised in Flin Flon, Snuffy/Bobby carried the spirit of the North with him everywhere he went — hardworking, loyal, resilient, and endlessly welcoming. He spent many years working in the mines, but outside of work he was best known for the life and energy he brought into every room. Whether he was at the rink, in the gym, around a fire, or sitting around a table sharing stories and beers with family and friends, Bobby had a way of making people feel instantly comfortable and connected.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Debbie; son Brent (Sharee, Kiana, Broc, and Cole); son Devin (Courtney, Ava, Aubree, and Bryn); and daughter Jocelyn (Matt, Sloan, and Hunter). He also leaves behind his sisters Bev and Corinne (Bill), brothers Mel (Donnalee) and Ken (Robin), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.

Bob was an avid hockey player and enthusiast, a dedicated gym-goer, a storyteller, a jokester, and above all, a people person. Anyone who met him was drawn to his happy, fun-loving personality. He had a gift for making people feel seen and heard, genuinely caring about what others had to say and always taking an interest in their lives.

Known for his classic “Bobby-isms” like “Beer UP!”, “Do your stretches”, and “Are ya winning?”, he leaves behind countless memories, laughs, and stories that will continue to be shared for generations.

What mattered most to Bob was family — truly being together through the ups, the downs, the laughs, the heartbreaks, and all the moments in between. To him, life’s greatest wealth was not measured in things, but in connection, time spent together, and the love exchanged between people.

Bob never wanted a funeral. What feels most fitting instead is a celebration — stories, laughter, tears, music, hugs, and togetherness. Because if there is one thing Bobby loved most, it was the energy people shared when they came together.

Celebration of Life:

We will host Bobby’s Celebration of Life on Thursday July 30, 2026 at the Creighton Community Hall.
The doors will be open from 2-7pm, at 3:30pm we will have a short ceremony with some words being said and also we will share a slide-show compilation of pictures and videos. Food and refreshments will be available.
