Claudette Pachal was born June 6th, 1961 in Melville, SK to Joseph and Blanche Nagy. She would meet and marry Wayne Pachal of Yorkton and become a young wife and mother who very quickly found the place she would forever call home where the Hanson Lake Road and Highway 10 meet. She would raise a family, build a life, and become far more than just a familiar face in her community. She was very proud of where she called home and made sure we all were.

Claudette became most well known and loved during her 25 years in and around the hospital. She held many positions from the early days in dietary to long nights as a first responder helping save lives in an ambulance. Retirement didn’t last long, and she was back working passionately as a health care worker at Frontier Collegiate where we know she left a lasting impression on so many of the kids that attended there. She loved creating those bonds, it was her favorite part of the job. The friends that she made all know who they are. She always made sure you knew you were important to her. Amazingly, there was always time in the day for more and that’s why you would find her coaching ball, managing hockey teams, organizing events, and volunteering anytime someone was needed.

Raising one family wasn’t enough so Claudette was also a Bomber billet mom for over 19 years. The house would seem empty if there weren’t 7 around the table and all those players look back fondly on the years they got to spend under her roof. Years later she still got calls and messages regularly from many just to check in, wish a happy birthday, or tell her about their lives. Her validation always meant so much to all of us, it was like a sign of approval that made you feel like you were doing the right thing.

Her love of nature, spirit, and her beautiful home was surpassed only by her fierce love for her family. Her husband, son, two daughters, and her 7 grandchildren. She loved harder than most and you knew it when she held on so long every time you had to leave. Parting tears were always customary, if even for a short absence.

If she had a few things left to say, I think she’d tell you to take care of each other and yourself. Enjoy the little things because they matter. Don’t worry too much about what people think. Love who you want. Nap. Take advantage of the sun and if you want to see me, just look up, there are a few of us soaring together now.

Claudette was predeceased by her parents, brother Tim Nagy, brother in-law Tom Reid, and her nephew Clayton Nagy. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Wayne and her children Everett (Megan, Kristy-rae), Sarah (Malcolm), and Ashley (Matt, Shane). Her grandchildren Taydem, Claudia, Tyson, Austin, Griffin, Kane, and Lux. Her Sisters Jo-Ann (Stan) Graves, Kathy Reid (Randy Weber), Karen Nagy. Her brothers Dennis Nagy, David (Pat) Nagy, Kirk Nagy, Mark (Donna) Nagy. She also leaves numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
