Corrie Gummerson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Corrie Lin Gummerson (Mccurdy) on August 16, 2025, at the age of 59.

Corrie was born on January 26, 1966, and was born and raised in Flin Flon, Manitoba, where she began her journey that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Corrie will be lovingly remembered by her children: Breann Gummerson and her partner Lane Laderoute, and Brock Gummerson and his partner Lynette Macfarlane. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Cohen Banting, Crue Gummerson, and Charlie Gummerson, whose lives were brightened by her unconditional love. Corrie is also survived by her sisters, Coleen (Ross Ikeda) and Cindy McCurdy, along with extended family, friends, and community members who cherished her presence.

Corrie lived her life with generosity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to others. As a nurse, she cared for countless people with kindness and dignity, offering comfort in times of need. Beyond her profession, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and devotion will never be forgotten. Corrie had a gift for putting others first and making everyone feel valued and cared for.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and community. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Corrie’s life in the summer of 2026, with details to be shared at a later date.
