Edwin Blaine Jessup
25/02/1947 – 22/03/2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of Edwin Blaine Jessup, who peacefully departed on March 22 at the age of 78.
Edwin was born February 25, 1947 on a rural farm in Saskatchewan. He was raised by his grandparents, Fred and Mary Jessup. He grew up trapping on his family’s trapline. While living in The Pas, MB he met the love of his life, Doreen, at the age of 20. They were married on October 21, 1973 and started a family together.
Edwin was a miner who worked at HBM&S for 29 years. He was a hard worker who provided well for his family. Ed loved spending time with his family fishing, camping and making memories around the campfire.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years; Doreen and five children Leonard (Melanie), Michael (Megan), Anita (Dwayne), Amber and Erin. Ed was so proud of his beautiful grandchildren Cameron, Scarlett, Cordelia and Kloud. He is predeceased by his daughter, Anne Marie.
Following Ed’s wishes, there will be a graveside service held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Lakeside Cemetery in the Pas, Manitoba. He will be laid to rest alongside his daughter.
Ed will be lovingly remembered for his story telling, his uncanny ability to remember the date of any event, his knowledge of heavy equipment and his infectious laughter. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg Manitoba R3P 2T5.
