Gillian Goodman of Flin Flon, Manitoba passed away Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Flin Flon General Hospital at the age of 77 years.
Gillian was born on January 6, 1948 in Flin Flon, MB to Chester and Joyce Bongfeldt who met in England during WWll. She was the eldest child of the family with Judi, Drew and Anne completing the crew. Gill had one son, Christopher during her marriage to Alex Goodman. Christopher was Gill’s pride and joy in life. He has spent much of his adult life in South Korea. He married his wife Mi-Jin and they have one son Theodore(Teddy) who brought great joy to Gill’s life. Teddy provided lots of bragging rights for Gill as he is an accomplished musician, playing the piano with great precision for one so young. He also is an avid sportsman that she liked to tell us about, baseball, swimming, boxing, martial arts etc. He has a natural talent for them as well. Teddy was a source of great pride and joy for Gill and he would entertain her during their facetime calls.
Gill is survived by her sister Judi (Don) McKinnon, nephew Geoffrey (Becky) McKinnon, son Declan, niece Jennifer McKinnon. Brother Drew (Debbie) Bongfeldt, nephew Michael Bongfeldt, niece Stacey (Cody) Herzberg. Sister Anne (Randy) McLaren, niece Larissa Burton, son Holden, niece Laura McLaren, sons Brodie and Reece McLaren Affolter.
A private family Celebration of Life for Gillian Goodman will be held at a later date.
