Obituary

James `Jim` Ledoux was born on September 22, 1948 to parents Felix and Bertha Ledoux in Winnipegosis, MB.  Jim grew up and was from Camperville, MB.  Jim had 10 siblings - Earl, Hilda, Joanne, Fred, John, Winston, Candy, Glen, Marie and Marceline.

Jim met his future wife, Joan Guiboche, in 1967 and they were married in 1969.  They went on to have three children - Diane, Melanie and Marty.  Jim worked as a Carpenter, Probation Officer and then, eventually, ended up in mining.  From Camperville, Jim and Joan moved their young family to Calgary where Jim worked in HVAC for Fagnan`s Furnace.  A few short years later, the family moved to Flin Flon where Jim worked for HBM&S until he retired.  Once settled in the north, Jim and Joan gave their children an amazing upbringing, sending all three to post secondary education.  This was a first for his family.

Jim was a very strong person and overcame many things in his life always with a sense of humor.  Jim had many rare health conditions that were even written about in various medical journals.

Jim loved to hunt and fish.  He never got anything, but he loved them anyway.  This is a skill that he has now passed onto his son, Marty.

Jim was an avid sports fan.  As a young man he played hockey for the Camperville Loggers and baseball for the Camperville 500`s (the pitcher).  As he approached retirement, Jim took up golf and loved to play with his golf buddies and family.  Jim was responsible for bringing the game of chess to his siblings, children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

The absolute pride, joy and loves of his life were his four granddaughters - Chick, Poom, Chickapoom and Oops.  He had a special relationship with each one of them, making them feel loved no matter what.  He was extremely proud of these four girls and loved to tell whoever would listen about these girls.  They had a special language that no one else spoke.  The girls never left the house without their `pittems`.

Jim is predeceased by his parents - Felix and Bertha, siblings - Hilda, Earl (Theresa), Marie and Marceline and his daughter - Melanie.

Jim is survived by his wife Joan of 54 years, daughter  - Diane (Marvin), son - Marty (Joanna), granddaughters - Meagan, Lexi, Parker and Cooper, siblings - John (Denise), Winston (Laurie), Fred, Glen, Joanne (Larry), Candy (Ken), brother-in-law - Freeman and numerous nieces and nephews.  We can`t forget to mention his cat, Lucy.
