Kathy Bunn-Matzer

With our hearts filled with sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Kathy Bunn-Matzer on April 12, 2025 at the FFGH.

She is loved and survived by her husband Randy, her daughters Darcie Matzer (Gorana) and Sarah Lussier (Phil), and grandchildren Lanham, Levi, Mylah, Rylee, Camryn, and Dylan; as well as her Aunt Carol Warner, sister Deborah (Jamie)McIntyre, niece Daley (John), brother in law Dave Hyndman, niece Lindsay, nephews Kelly(Kerri) and Corey (Sandra); sister in law Betsy Bunn, nephews Robbie (Frederica), Jimmy (Wanda) and Dennis (Alexandra); sister in law Elza (Ron) Weibe, nephew Darren; sister in law Marg (Wayne) Kelly, nieces Lisa and Karla (Dave); and many more caring extended family members and friends. 

She was predeceased by her parents Ruth and Roy Bunn, mother in law Katie and Joe Matzer, brother Greg Bunn, sister Glenda Hyndman, sister in law Anne Marie Martel, nephew Richard Bunn and niece Paula Wiebe.

Kathy was born and raised mostly in Flin Flon, save for a few years growing up at Island Falls. She found her calling as a nurse and enjoyed 30 amazing years on the maternity ward at FFGH. She had a wonderful life and raised a beautiful family that she was extremely proud of. She will be forever loved and never forgotten. 

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00am from St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 163 Centre Street, Flin Flon, Manitoba with Father Paul Bringleson officiating.
