Margaret Harrower passed away on June 9, 2024 at the Flin Flon General Hospital at the age of 91 years. Margaret was born on March 11,1933 to Joseph and Edith in Watrous, Saskatchewan. She was raised on a farm near Watrous and attended the local school. After her schooling, she moved to Rosetown where she worked as a telephone operator. On July 4th 1953, Margaret married Joseph (Bill) Harrower and moved to Flin Flon. Here she raised her five children: Barbara, Joseph, Roderick, Glen and James and enjoyed many life‑long friendships. Margaret was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends were the most important part of Margaret’s life. She always put others first with her kindness and generosity. She was well liked by all those who knew her. Margaret was a woman of many talents. Her rural roots fostered her love of gardening, flowers, and birds. Her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of fresh baking and dinners. Creativity and artistry were evident in her numerous crafts and projects: sewing, knitting, crocheting, paper tole, ceramics, doll‑making, and quilting. She was passionate about being a member of the North Star Quilter's Guild. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2008 and her grandson David in 2020. Also her parents, Joe and Edith , her brothers Gordon and Clayton, her sisters Charlotte Airey and May MacKay, sisters-in-law Mona Harrower, Audrey Lindgren, Dorothy Harrower, Mildred Harrower, Lolabelle Freeborn, Dorothy Engele, brothers-in-law John Airey, Henry Wiens, Lyall MacKay, Bob Harrower, Clarence Harrower, Bud Freeborn, Sheldon Engele and nephew Michael MacKay.
She is lovingly remembered by her family: Barbara Harrower, Joseph Harrower, Roderick (Kimberly) Harrower & family, Kyle & Carmen, Glen (Kim) Harrower & family, Adam (Nikki) Harrower and family, Jackson & Brooklyn, Jacob (Cindy) Harrower & family Austin, Makenzy, Kailah, Taylor and Jordyn, Melissa Harrower & family, Dustin, Haley and Josh, James (Cindy) Harrower & family, Dustin.
She will also be missed by her sister Joyce Ann Wiens, her brothers‑in‑law Douglas (Janice) Harrower and Rod (Linda) Harrower and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
A Come & Go Tea in celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on July 19, 2024 at the Northern Room, Victoria Inn, Flin Flon from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
Grave side gathering for her family will be held later in the day.

A graveside service for Margaret will be held at a later date.
