Patricia Vickery

Patricia Eileen Vickery was the daughter of John Wesley Vickery and Edna Rae Dempsey Vickery.

She was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba May 18, 1937 and died in Flin Flon, Manitoba October 15, 2022.

She attended teacher's college in the 1950s in Manitoba, and then in 1962 University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.

Mom's life was distinguished by courage, hard work and charity.  She touched thousands of lives, helping children and their parents as a teacher and as a daycare owner.

Those who knew Mom will remember her determination and humor.

She was a gifted writer, and her writing demonstrates that she was independent and possessed great intelligence.

She loved music and was a dedicated pianist.  She would often play "Fur Elise".  She appreciated art in all its forms:  visual, literature, theater, music.

Mom was an athlete and played basketball with her grandsons, shooting hoops in our driveway well into her 60s.  She loved nature and walking in the country.

Mom is survived by:

A Graveside Service for Patricia took place on October 25, 2022 at Ross Park Cemetery with Father Paul Bringleson officiating. Honourary Pallbearers were Daughter Megan, Son in Law Tony, Grandsons Nolan and Zachary.
