Robert "Bob" Stadnick Obituary

Robert "Bob" Stadnick passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the Flin Flon General Hospital at the age of 70 years.

Bob was born on January 5, 1953, a New Years Baby. He was the youngest of 13.

Bob grew up and got his education in Preecville, Sk. He moved to Flin Flon in 1972 and met his wife Phyllis, they married in 1974.

Bob worked for Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Co., now HudBay for 42 years as a miner/crusher and retired in 2013.

He had many hobbies including Ham/CB radio operator, ice fishing, socializing at Johnny's Confectionery coffee row and flying. He received his private pilot license and that was by far his most favorite hobby. His first plane was a Stinson, which he was in partnership with Rick Nickerson. He later went on to purchase an Ultralight.

Bob is survived by his wife Phyllis. Special niece Myra Stachiw of Preecville, SK. Two little friends from next door, who have grown up to be young women Cheyanne and Hanna Hvidsten. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. His long time friends Hans and Lori Hvidsten, Barry, Vemarie, Crystal, Darren, Brent and Brenda Strelzki.

At Bob's request he will be cremated and no funeral service will be held.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that any memorial tributes be made to a Charity of One's Choice.
