Therese Marie Martin (Lavergne) passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the age of 95.
Therese will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Jan Hills (Terry), Barb McCaig (Randy) and Donna Martin; her grandchildren, Kevin Hills (Mariola), Jim Hills (Roxane), Brian McCaig, Korene McCaig, Tami Fleury (Joe), Tana Huberdeau (Jamie), Traci Cluff (Grant) and 17 great grandchildren
Therese was predeceased by her husband, Ed Martin; parents, Albert Joseph and Marie Louise Lavergne; sister, Annette Roberts and brother, Ray Lavergne.
Therese was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba on September 21, 1930. She married Ed Martin on June 29, 1950 and together they raised their 3 daughters.
Therese was foremost a wife and homemaker. She loved her family, cats, playing cards, fishing, camping, nature and singing. Therese enjoyed curling at Willowpark Curling Rink, belonged to the Catholic Women’s League and also taught Brownies.
Therese and Ed traveled to Hawaii, Barbados, Cuba and spent many winters at their home in Arizona.
They lived in Flin Flon, Manitoba and then retired to their cottage at Bakers Narrows, Manitoba. In 2006, Therese and Ed moved to Brandon and then later moved together to the Shoal Lake PCH.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 327 4th Street, Brandon, MB on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Flin Flon at a later date.
